The imagery in this piece is wild. And I love how you kept the theme of the bird throughout the whole poem. Didn’t realize you were connecting it to Thoth which is so cool! Plus the message of the poem resonates with me!
Thoth! What a gift this poem is! I’ve been drawn Thoth, one of the ancient Black gods of Egypt and Nubia, for years. He is who I invoke when I need to sit my ass down to write.
Thanks so much for reading 🙏🏽☺️💚. It warms my heart to see someone moved by Thoth in these times. Thoth calls to us to pick up the pen and scribe. It’s getting our ass in seats through self belief of our own divinity. Shoutout to you for answering the heroic call!

I have also been in dialogue with Thoth lately. His most recent rudeness to me and my readers: https://open.substack.com/pub/godofthedesert/p/an-ibis-headed-god-gives-a-warning?r=14q4c&utm_medium=ios
